Because our tarpaulins and natural insulators are “breathing active”, no condensation can form inside the cabin, even during prolonged rain.
The standart yurt
Our yurts are studied in their dimensions and technical peculiarities to answer the morphology of the average modern European.
The walls as well as the roof and the frame of the entrance door are re-raised compared to the traditional yurt to release more volume and interior height.

The outer cover 100% acrylic quality “Nautical”
This canvas, made in France, originally made to resist the boats in the marine environment, is nowadays an alternative to the classic cotton tarpaulin that is vulnerable to UV. Avalon Tents offers this canvas of resistance to this day unequaled for the quality of its anti-mold and water repellent reinforced treatment and its UV filter. The nautical treatment cover is an ideal solution for all roofs installed in very humid regions such as Brittany, Normandy or the Pyrenees. This top-of-the-range dralon weave (acrylic treated in the mass), perfectly breathable, benefits from the Oeko-tex logo. Our windows and doors are made with great care. We use exclusively larch wood and the windows are, according to choice, double glazing or plexi. The plexi (transparent hard PVC) has the advantage of being resistant to shocks and blows, possibly important in the case of a yurt for receiving groups while the double glazing undeniably brings a plus in terms of insulation. All the ironwork is of first quality: the handles are wrought iron, the hinges on ball bearings and locks type said “security” with double keys.Structure
The frame of the yurt is composed of the following elements : – Trellises for the walls, poles for the roof nested in the crown which forms the center. – The lattis that form the walls are each individually centered in templates built for this purpose. – The crown itself is a masterpiece of carpentry know-how, entirely assembled in solid wood, and is the keystone of the building. All the elements that make up the entire construction are assembled exclusively by flexible ties in halyard, so tied. The choice of the wood used for the construction is for the sake of quality, on an extremely hard and resistant in time, the larch.The Crystal-Hat and the crown
The cover cap of the crown is adjourned by a transparent material called Crystal (PVC flexible plexi classification flame retardant M2). This makes it possible to have a very efficient central skylight. The great advantage this Crystal Hats design offers over hard Plexi domes (also offered) is that their flexibility allows them to be easily opened in their entirety. The optimal aeration thus obtained guarantees a good comfort of life, even during the summer heat, because the air can circulate freely, and in sufficient quantity.
The natural felt insulation of sheep’s wool
The insulation of the entire yurt is worked in a very dense felt felt sheep natural wool of exceptional quality: 600 gr / m² – samples on request. This insulation helps keep the room warm during extreme cold and creates a warm and cozy cocoon! This felt is exclusively made to special order. The hue is natural, the felt is not subject to artificial whitening.The interior decorative canvas
The inner lining in 100% off-white cotton hides the felt, prevents dust from spreading in the Yurt and illuminates the interior of the Yurt. It is laid outside directly on the structure, followed by felt and nautical canvas.
