The nautical canvas
The so-called “Nautical” canvas, at the base specially designed to withstand year-round weather conditions in the marine environment, has proved its worth by being used on oceans around the world.
All Yurts of Les Tentes d’Avalon are equipped with this canvas, a resistance unmatched to this day, as an alternative to the classic cotton canvas. It takes all its interest in covering Yurts supposed to be mounted in particularly humid regions such as Brittany, Normandy, Alsace, the Pyrenees and the Dom-Tom.
Colors
This 100% Dralon 100% fiber weave fabric is outstanding because of its excellent structural stability due in large part to its weft density and its marine-grade water-repellent / anti-mildew treatment.
Although having a degree of impermeability approximately 3 times higher than an ordinary tarpaulin, it remains perfectly breathable, which avoids any condensation inside the Yurt, major point of interest for the protection of felt insulation natural.
Another major asset of this truly “high-end” cover is its color fidelity thanks to the integrated UV filter. It also dramatically increases the longevity of textiles in the face of a sun known to be increasingly raw due to climate change.
The nautical cover is perfectly washable, which makes it possible to clean it in case of possible fouling due to the birds, in case of rains loaded with earth and vegetable residues, sap of trees etc. (subject to using the appropriate product reserved for that purpose).
In addition to all the qualities mentioned above, the “Nautical” cover Libertente benefits from the Oeko-Tex 100 logo. This approval certifies the non-toxicity of water-repellent treated fabrics. The tests made it possible to ensure the non-presence in the fabrics of odors, harmful dyes, volatile components or pesticides.
This “all options” canvas is easy to maintain, in the sense that no further waterproofing treatment application is required.
