6m ‘Triskel’ Yurt (Lumière series)
When we visited this place for the first time, we couldn’t believe our eyes, it’s so enchanting!
At the end of a winding track that crosses a small, ancient stone bridge, you come to an old abandoned mill in the valley.
Yurts
Our yurts benefit from unrivalled experience in the manufacture and development of lightweight, sustainable housing that meets the highest quality standards.
Our artisan yurt workshops offer you not only the best quality tarpaulins currently available on the eco-friendly housing market, but above all a living testimony to a way of life in direct contact with nature.
Thanks to its cylindrical shape and flexible frame, the yurt can withstand violent storms.
Fully assembled or dismantled in half a day*, and easily transportable, the yurt is truly the home of freedom!
The ultimate lightweight home, the yurt can be easily fitted out in a contemporary style, combining modern comfort with respect for the environment.
The absence of foundations means that the yurt can be set up absolutely anywhere (agricultural land, recreational land, gardens, village squares), including in unusual places (indoors, in an exhibition hall, on a hard base) because the self-supporting structure does not require anchoring to the ground.
* with an additional half day for the floor

Particular care is taken in finishing the natural wool felt insulation, right down to the inner and outer fabrics, which are sewn and adjusted to perfection, requiring no further adjustment.
Les Tentes d’Avalon» yurts stand out because we have retained the nomadic spirit, defined by the mobility of the structure and guaranteeing freedom.
The various components of the yurt are light enough to be carried to locations that are inaccessible to vehicles, which is particularly appealing in the context of alternative and eco-friendly housing in a protected natural environment.
All components of the yurt are carefully manufactured so that anyone can assemble and disassemble it without necessarily requiring a team of specialised assemblers.

Tipis
«Everything that makes up the power of the universe is done in a circle. The sky is round. The sun rises and sets in a circle. The moon does the same, and they are both round.
The life of a man is a circle from childhood to childhood, and so it is with everything where Power moves… so our teepees were round, like the nests of birds, and always arranged in a circle…»
Black Elk, Oglala Sioux Indian (1863-1950)
Since the dawn of time, the tepee has lost none of its fascination for those lucky enough to enjoy it during a trip, a season, or even just one night, close to its warm heart, the fire, watching the stars go by through the smoke hole!
It intuitively connects us to humanity’s great migrations as they marched across the tundra and taiga, from one continent to another in search of new lands…
In those mythical times, weaving was virtually unknown and the ancestors of teepees were made from reindeer and deer skins.
A survival cell in the face of an overpowering nature, in a night that could sometimes last for months, lit only by the lights of the aurora borealis and the glow of the stars…
It was in these tents that the fire was tended with devotion, for it was the source of survival in a world in constant change, in the truest sense of the word.
