These two magnificent yurts, each measuring 8 metres in diameter, have been erected in Corsica as part of a self-sufficiency and permaculture project.
On the road to self-sufficiency!

The current trend is to start moving towards eco-friendly practices and, as far as possible, to be self-sufficient.
This idea motivated a young couple to move with their children to the middle of nowhere in the Corsican countryside.

Two yurts with a diameter of 8 metres, offering 100 square metres of living space, from our Lumières yurt range, are joined together and interconnected by an airlock, providing the ideal base and foothold for this developing agricultural project.

Here you will find everything you need to ensure your comfort.
Living room with an open-plan kitchen and large counter on one side, four-poster bed, bathroom with bathtub and dry toilet, wardrobe, single beds and a separate area for children with a playroom, etc.

The entire system is powered by 220V electricity from a photovoltaic installation with numerous panels to cover all needs, all of which was built by the residents themselves.

It is certainly a bold project, but it is by no means utopian, as it is already a reality.
The foundations for the permaculture agricultural project have been laid, the trenches dug and filled!
I can’t wait to go back!

The future plans include installing more yurts to accommodate woofers and friends.

This is not an isolated project, as an ever-increasing number of farmers and market gardeners are using yurts from our manufacturing workshops, chosen for their stability and durability, in line with the ethical requirements of a movement advocating a return to nature.
